What Will I Learn?
IWCF Well Intervention Pressure Control Course at JC International Ltd. Nigeria includes all subjects needed to prepare Coiled tubing operators, Wireline operators, Snubbing operators and Completion Engineers, Well site geologist, Fishing Tool Supervisors, Mud loggers for a combined Pressure Control Well Intervention IWCF Certificate.
The combined certificate includes Wireline, Coiled tubing and Snubbing. However, nominating individuals and organizations can choose which disciplines to choose from or register all.
Course Level
Two levels are available regardless of the desired discipline;
- Level 2 – Introductory Stage
- Level 3 – Service Equipment Operators
- Level 4 – Well Intervention Supervisors
Compulsory Requirements by IWCF
By IWCF standards, all candidates are expected to attend compulsory Completion and Principle & Procedures papers:
Completions
- Well barriers and containment devices
- Completion equipment
- Flow control devices
- Pressure testing
Principles & Procedures
- Pressure and volume calculations
- Barrier principles
- Well conditions
- Kill methods
Optional Requirements
Optional test papers include the Wire line, Coiled Tubing and Snubbing:
- Pressure control equipment
- Barrier elements
- Pressure control during operations
- Pressure testing
- Contingencies
Other Useful Information
The programs comprise separate sets of tests for the above options. To obtain a certificate, candidates must achieve a minimum mark of 70% in each section of the test program.
